Melanie Martinez shares haunting new track Gingerbread Man
Sometimes the best things in life are free, and Melanie Martinez agrees with that. On Dec. 23 the singer/songwriter released her first holiday song (‘Gingerbread Man’) via Twitter as an early Christmas present to her fans!

Although the song is holiday based, it still has her sweet-creepy pop sound, similar to the sound on her album Cry Baby.
The song isn’t your usual Christmas song with lyrics like, “I need a gingerbread man, the one I’ll feed / The gingerbread man, the one I’ll eat.” and “Can’t you see? I only want the ones who never see me / But I’m happy / I love playing these games until my heart bleeds / It bleeds jelly.”
Even the artwork for the single has Melanie’s adorable touch to it, showing a little girl holding a gingerbread man, with its arm and leg ripped off bleeding jelly.
