Kid Cudi Announces Comic Book Debut With 'Moon Man'
Kid Cudi announced his comic book debut with Moon Man. On Saturday (Oct. 14), the rapper appeared at New York Comic Con, where he revealed the book, Entertainment Weekly reported. Staying true to his galactic aesthetic, Cudi stated that Moon Man would be released in January 2024 from Image Comics, Mad Solar, and Black Market Narrative.
“This might be one of the top three coolest things I’ve ever been a part of,” Cudder expressed at the event. “This story is something that took a lot of love from everyone involved. I promise you this comic will be unlike anything you’ve read before. To each and every person that picks up a copy and shows support in January — I love you more than you can imagine.”
“I’ve been secretly workin on this for over a year and its finally happening. Im so f**kin hype for u all to dive in. If you’re into comics, my hope is that this will be your new obessesion,” the Cleveland rapper continued on his IG. “Lot of love and hard work went into this, I am so proud to finally reveal my baby to the world.”

The project was written by Kyle Higgins, with Marco Locati and Igor Monti handling the art. According to the press release, Moon Man follows the story of astronaut Ramon Townsend. Townsend becomes a celebrity after saving his crew from a near-disastrous moon mission. “However, certain moments during that mission weren’t captured by cameras, and they will change Ramon into something the world has never seen before,” the press release reads.
