John Francis Daley is an American actor, screenwriter, director, and musician. His roles include the shows Freaks and Geeks and Bones. With his professional partner Jonathan Goldstein, he has co-written the films Horrible Bosses, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Vacation (2015), and co-directed the latter film, as well as Game Night.
He is the son of Nancy and R.F. Daley, an actor. He is married to writer Corinne Kingsbury, with whom he has a son.
John’s maternal grandfather was Harold Terchin (the son of Max Terchin and Rachel/Ray Goldstein). Harold was born in Illinois, to English-born parents, who were both the children of Russian Jewish immigrants. Max was the son of Isaac Terchin. Rachel was the daughter of Lazarus Goldstein and Golda.
John’s maternal grandmother was Lorraine Cooper (the daughter of Harry Cooper and Jeanette Niedle/Niedel). Lorraine was born in Illinois. Harry was born in New York, to Russian Jewish parents. Jeanette was a Russian Jewish immigrant.
