Izza Opens Up About Having the Hots for New Flame with New Single Flavor (Exclusive) Celeb
Leave it to Izza to give us a smoking hot track during the most scorching times of the summer!
The budding pop singer/songwriter is back with another upbeat banger titled “Flavor,” which is out wherever you hear music today (July 19). Written by Izza, the track, according to the LA native, is all about the highs of the early stages of a relationship — but with a twist.
“The line is, ‘I just want to lick your body because you’re my favorite flavor,’ and I feel like your senses and how you’re meeting someone for the first time or first getting into a relationship is an interesting aspect of the dynamic, so I wanted to play into ‘flavor’ and the sensual details of being involved in a new kind of love,” Izza tells Celeb Secrets in an exclusive interview. “I also play into this theme of fruit, so the cover art of ‘Flavor’ is me covered in different fruit like a rainbow. I can’t wait for people to see it and I’m super excited for the song to come out.”
The new anthem is the third track from her forthcoming EP, Because I’m Blonde, which Izza tells us is coming later this year. Featuring “Flavor,” “Gentleman” and “1-800-Situationship,” Because I’m Blonde was written and produced by the artist herself, and mastered by Grammy-nominated artist Mike Tucci. The EP explores the LA-based singer’s identity as a woman navigating relationships, self-confidence and meaning in a world full of stereotypes.
“[‘Because I’m Blonde’] is all about how you’re perceived as a blonde, especially in the dating scene, both the good and the bad,” Izza says of the project.
“So with ‘1-800-Situationship,’ that’s definitely a more negative song about how I feel like I’m always in situationships because maybe guys don’t take me seriously because of my blonde hair. ‘Gentleman’ is definitely more of an empowering song, so it’s kind of like taking that power back from the man, you could say, and them, you know, kind of judging you off your appearances, but actually creating your own fate and how you want things to taking back the power.”
You may remember Izza when we first introduced you to her and her high-powered, “bad b**ch energy” track “Going Rogue” last February. Or you may have heard of the Los Angeles native thanks to her viral “Revenge Billboards” video, promoting her music with a huge Billboard in front of her cheating ex’s apartment. Catching the attention of millions worldwide, the Internet cannot get enough of Izza’s cheeky humor and bold moves.
Izza prides herself on creating music that can be used as medicine for those who need it most and encourages everyone and anyone to focus on self-love and normalize vulnerability. She’s also an advocate for mental health and has performed at 320 Festival, alongside artists like Chris Martin of Coldplay, Elohim, and Social House.
