Dont Believe Everything You Read Ghostwriter For Art Of The Deal Talks About The Myth H
A lot of Trump’s appeal since he launched his campaign last year has been around his Trump brand, the brash but incredibly successfull business executive who promises to run the country like one of his businesses.
Even though there are many holes in that theory – Trump has bankrupted and destroyed more businesses than he has had successful – most people believe it. And a large part of that is the persona created in his bestselling book ‘The Art of the Deal’
With the possibility of Trump entering the White House going up, the ghostwriter for the book, Tony Schwartz, has spoken out on what he says is a fictionalised version of the man which people are buying hook, line and sinker.
In a report from the New Yorker, Schwartz says he feels a responsibility to let people know that Trump is far from the portrait painted in the book. Which honestly, he has shown a million times during this campaign but his supporters fail to notice anyway.
“I put lipstick on a pig,” he said. “I feel a deep sense of remorse that I contributed to presenting Trump in a way that brought him wider attention and made him more appealing than he is.
“I genuinely believe that if Trump wins and gets the nuclear codes there is an excellent possibility it will lead to the end of civilization.”
The Republican Convention is currently ongoing in Cleveland, Ohio, with Trump’s candidacy to be affirmed by the party’s delegates. His wife has already made a huge faux pas, but we know Trump’s campaign has been immune to those since it began.
