C3 Presents To Manage Voodoo Music + Arts Experience

NEW ORLEANS (CelebrityAccess) — While Voodoo Music + Arts Experience Steve Rehage has stepped down, organizers for the popular New Orleans festival said that punters shouldn't expect radical changes.

In Rehage's place, Live Nation has moved C3 Presents to the fore to manage the festival. According to the New Orleans Advocate, Amy Corbin, the head of C3 Presents’ concert division, will oversee booking for the festival. Corbin also handles booking for Austin City Limits and Landmark.

Charlie Walker, co-founding partner of C3 Presents,, told the Advocate that at least for now, the shape of the festival will stay the same.

“We’ve got a lot of respect for what Steve has done,” Charlie Walker said this week. “The show’s been around a long time. Steve was a good operator. I don’t think we’ll meddle too much with what historically has been a winning recipe.

“We’ll get in there this year and just see how things work. We won’t try to fix something that isn’t broken. But certainly we’ll make improvements based on what we’ve learned from our other festivals around the world.”

Rehage joined Live Nation in 2013 when he sold a majority stake in the festival to the company. He exited the firm last year, shortly after the festival's final day was canceled due to rain. While he still controls a minority stake in the festival, Rehage is reportedly no longer involved in production of the event. – Staff Writers
